PornRanks

Our methodology

Here's how we evaluate every site listed. Everything is transparent.

The 4 criteria we rate

Each site gets an overall score out of 10. This score is the weighted average of 4 sub-scores:

  • UX (user experience): interface, navigation, mobile, speed, visual cleanliness. 25% of the total.
  • Content / Service: quality, variety, depth of what the site offers. 30% of the total.
  • Price / Fees: value for money vs competitors. 25% of the total.
  • Safety / Trust: regulation, security, track record, moderation. 20% of the total.

How we test

  • For each site, we create a real account (with a dedicated email, not a personal one).
  • We deposit, we use it, we withdraw. We rate the experience at every step.
  • We test mobile + desktop + tablet.
  • We check customer support (sending a real ticket, measuring the response time).
  • We re-check every 3 months for sites where we have an active partnership.

Declared conflicts of interest

We make our living from affiliate commissions. So yes, we have a financial interest in you clicking on the links.

BUT:

  • Ratings are decided BEFORE discussing affiliation with a partner site.
  • A site that pays us more doesn't get a better rating than one that pays us less.
  • Several highly-rated sites on PornRanks pay us NOTHING (we list them anyway).
  • Several sites we turned down as partners are listed with an honest (low) score — because they're bad.

What we don't do

  • No paid "promoted to the top." Our top 10 is really our top 10, not a sponsored top 10.
  • No review written by the site itself. 100% of our reviews are written by our team.
  • No generic AI hype. Our tone is blunt. If a site is mediocre, we say so. If a site is garbage, we say that too.
  • No hiding the flaws. Every review has a "What stings the eyes" section with the real flaws.

Process for adding a new site

  1. Discovery (via monitoring, community suggestion, direct contact)
  2. Verification that it's legally operable
  3. Sign-up + test (1-2 weeks)
  4. Writing the review
  5. Assigning the rating (4 sub-scores → weighted average)
  6. Going live
  7. Reaching out to propose an affiliate partnership

Why you can trust us

Honestly, because we've put ourselves on the line plenty of times to stay honest. We've turned down nice affiliate deals that were conditioned on faked reviews. We've published blunt criticism of sites that could have gotten mad at us commercially.

We'd rather lose 1 partner who wanted to buy us off than 1,000 visitors who realize we're sellouts.
